We Are Open !

We are very pleased to inform you that Market Place Dental Practice will be open throughout the second national lockdown for both routine dental appointments and treatment.

There are no restrictions with regards to medical or dental treatment and the government are actively encouraging you to keep your appointments. Attending for healthcare is a permissible reason to travel.

At Market Place Dental Practice we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and systems in place to keep you safe, and we will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.

What Next?
Please continue to attend your appointments. As you know we have excellent hygiene and infection control procedures, and now along with a thorough risk assessment policy we can ensure the safety & protection of both patients and staff.

Medical Grade Air Purifiers…

We have also invested in Medical Grade Air Purifiers in surgeries and waiting areas which remove and destroy microbes, including Coronaviruses!

If you have questions about your attendance please contact us to discuss your concerns and we can always reschedule your treatment to another date.

Before you arrive for your appointment….

You will receive our eForms via email approximately 4 days before your scheduled appointment.

Please fill these in as soon as you can. These help us check that the appointment you have is the most suitable for you, and to ensure that everyone entering the practice has been deemed to be low risk of having Covid19.

This helps to keep us all safe.

When you arrive…

We advise that you are wearing your mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove the mask at the request of the dental professional.

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment to help with social distancing guidelines.

As you enter the building you need to use the hand sanitiser in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs. This is a hands-free devise and will dispense the foam into your hand by hovering them a few centimetres below it. We use a Medical grade hand sanitiser which is actually more effective against Covid19 than the alcohol based rubs, and is kinder to your hands too!

The Reception door will remain locked, to help with Social distancing within the Practice, and to ensure that we have assessed everyone within the Practice at all times. Please knock and wait to be shown inside. Please be aware of social distancing for other patients arriving or leaving.

Any outdoor clothing, bags & personal belongings will be placed into sanitised boxes at Reception to help prevent any contamination through contact.

The Waiting Room…

You may be asked to sit in the Waiting Room for a few minutes until your dentist is ready for you.To help with Social distancing not all our chairs are in use. The Waiting Room chairs are wiped with disinfectant once they have been vacated, so they will all be clean when you arrive. There is also an Air Purification Unit working in the room.

The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. The medical air purification units will continue to be used throughout the day. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), we have a plentiful supply.

You can be reassured. As you know, our infection control has always been the highest priority for us, and we continue to maintain our high standards.

Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions.

We are always happy to help, so if you know someone who is having problems getting access to dental care, please ask them to call us on 01285-652200

Local news…

When you come into see us you, you will notice that the Cirencester Christmas lights have been switched on a little earlier than normal. They are looking lovely, especially in the evening light.

Although you may expect the centre of town to be relatively quiet, the weekly Charter Markets on Monday and Friday as well as the Farmers Markets will be going ahead, selling essential goods only.

A good source of local information at the moment is Cirencester Town Council, or find them on facebook.

They are planning to put together a Shop Local Shopping Guide to help you to support your local community and the town’s independent retailers.

Look out for information on which shops are open, or providing a collection/delivery service, and any restaurants/pubs who are providing takeaway meals during the lockdown.

Many local events have had to be cancelled or postponed, but we are hoping some of the outdoor activities will be going ahead.

We are looking forward to the Enchanted Christmas events at Westonbirt , and the Enchanted Light Trial at Cotswold Farm Park

Stay safe & we look forward to seeing you soon !
