At your first dental visit, you can expect a warm welcome, discussion about your treatment preferences and concerns, and a full clinical examination. We are happy to answer any questions you have about your dental treatment, and work with you to ensure we provide tailored care based on your concerns, needs, values and priorities.

When you come to your first dental appointment, please bring your completed medical history questionnaire or complete it digitally in advance of your appointment. It is also useful if you can bring any recent x-rays you may have previously had, and information about any complex dental treatment, such as dental implants, you have had in the past.

We recommend that most patients visit the dentist for a routine check up twice a year. If you are in excellent oral health, you may be able to leave a longer interval between appointments. Similarly, if your teeth and gums need more attention, you may be asked to come back sooner. Please talk to your dentist.

Regular dental check ups allow your dentist to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy and strong. By keeping a regular eye on your oral health, we can spot any potential issues quickly, and treat them before they can worsen. We can also give you personalised advice for your oral hygiene routines at home.

At Market Place Dental, we accept payment made by cash or credit/debit card. We accept many dental insurance schemes and also offer Denplan. We provide written estimates for all treatment plans, and if at any stage you are unsure about our prices, you are welcome to ask your dentist for an update. A price list is available on our website or at reception.

Having decided on a course of dental treatment, your dentist will be able to advise you on how long the treatment is likely to take and give you a clear idea of costs. Should the treatment plan change, your dentist will be able to advise you on the clinical and cost implications. At the end of the treatment plan, your dentist will discuss with you a suitable review / examination period. For most patients this will be six months.
